After finishing my book, I started work on my show reel, I decided to use Premiere Pro to create my show reel as I am very familiar with the software, and I feel you can get a really professional final outcome using it. Below you can see how I pieced together my video. I have got all my image clips on one track, with text and effects above it on their own tracks.
I wanted to make my video unique and striking, so I found some free video effects that would make it much more professional. The top two images show the film burn effect I used for some transitions, and the bottom image shows a sparkle type effect which I used across the whole video on half opacity. This gives it a very magical feel.
After putting all of my clips together on my tracks and sorting out the music and effects, I rendered it out into a .mov file on the maximum render settings. The finished show reel can be seen below, along with stills.
